On Saturday, July 4th, students enrolled in ProfessorShinya Shimoda 's course "Practical Project Planning Seminar" at our university participated in the kickoff meeting for the industry Faculty of Economics academia collaboration project "We Want to Fill Best Stadium Project."
Now in its third year, this project involves Avispa Fukuoka, sponsor company Agec Co., Ltd. (Tokyo), and approximately 60 students from four universities in the prefecture (Kyushu Sangyo University, Kurume University, Nakamura Gakuen University, and Fukuoka University) collaborating to plan and implement public relations strategies and merchandise sales promotions with the aim of attracting the highest number of spectators this season.
On the day of the meeting, representatives from each university proposed various measures to the team's player, Yu Hashimoto, and club officials, including planning spectator tours for this season's home game (December 13th [Sun]), utilizing social media, and creating art at the stadium.
From our university, a group of 12 students from the 1st to 4th years planned "merchandise sales promotion projects" and "SNS information dissemination." Hiroto Miyazaki (Fukuoka Korinkan High School), a 4th-year student in the same department, gave a presentation on the project outline and current progress, referencing last year's achievements.
Afterward, the students worked with club officials to refine the plan. The university students also approached Hashimoto, asking him to help spread information on social media and appear in promotional videos, which he readily agreed to.
The meeting concluded with Tsutomu Nishino, President and CEO of Avispa Fukuoka Co., Ltd., who said, "I hope that the students from the four universities will involve those around them and raise expectations for this project. Let's consider today as the first day and give it our all until the match in December."
Our home game on Sunday, December 13th, is against FC Tokyo. Let's fill the stands at Best Denki Stadium together with the students!
