Five male members of the Kendo club will advance to the national tournament!

At the 2026 Kyushu Student Kendo Championship (73rd Men's Tournament) held on Saturday, May 9th, five male members of our university's kendo club achieved top rankings in the individual competition, securing their place in the national tournament.

The 74th All Japan Intercollegiate Kendo Championships, which has seen the most participants in recent years, will be held at the Nippon Budokan on July 4th (Saturday) and 5th (Sunday).

Team manager Tomonori Miura will be participating in the national tournament. This tournament also made me feel a strong sense of gratitude towards the teachers and teammates who supported us.I tried to approach each match without rushing, being mindful of my own distance and pace, and maintaining a calm mental state. At the national tournament, I will be aware of my responsibility as a representative of Kyushu Sangyo University and will give my all to win as many matches as possible.
