At the 50th Kyushu Student Archery Championship held in Nagasaki Prefecture on May 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun), our university's archery club won first place in the women's division and second place in the men's division.
Based on their performance in this tournament, both the men's and women's teams have qualified to participate in the "65th All Japan Intercollegiate Archery Men's Championship and 61st All Japan Intercollegiate Archery Women's Championship Supported by KOWA," which will be held in Shizuoka Prefecture from June 13th (Saturday).
Captain Aya Kanazawa (3rd year, Faculty of Commerce Department of Business and Marketing of Commerce / Kokura Minami High School) said: This tournament allowed us to showcase the results of our daily practice. We made sure to encourage each other as a team, maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the matches, and focus on each shot, sticking to our usual shooting technique. We will use the experience gained at the Kyushu tournament to aim for top rankings in both the men's and women's national tournaments.We will also work hard as a team in practice and strive to have a game that everyone can be satisfied with." he says.
